Car dealers have come out to lament the increase in trucking and clearing fees for imported vehicles. And which has greatly affected the price of cars in Nigeria.
One of the popular motor dealers toks_cars wrote on their Official Instagram handle informing their customers about the increase in prices that;
“We are paying over N1,500,000. 00 on trucking, something we usually pay N120,000. 00 for, same way custom duty is constantly going up on the side and dollar is also doing it’s own.

Over N1,300,000.00 increment for absolutely no just cause.
If one don’t get his/her container out immediately, then you start paying 35k demurrage daily including weekends.
Please cars don cost and we also have to review our prices so we don’t run into loss 🙏🏿.
600% increment 😢😢.
It’s not intentional or out of greed that dealers have decided to increase the prices of vehicles, but our hands have been tied and forced to adjust our prices, please bear with us 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿.

We will try to not increase too much as we have decided to also take a portion of the cost so as not to put too much pressure on our clients but it’s important that we let people know the reason for the price rise..
