Insecurity: Alleged gunmen kill Police ACP in Calabar

OYOGist.com has learned that the Cross River Police Command has reportedly confirmed the allegedly killing of an Assistant Commissioner of Police known as Mr. Egbe Edum, by unknown gunmen in the state capital, Calabar.

This was confirmed by the state police Public Relations Officer, DSP Irene Ugbo, in a phone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NANS) in Calabar.

According to the police PRO, he stated that the deceased officer was killed with an axe by the unknown assailants along Murtala Mohammed Highway, Calabar.

It was also learned that the deceased police ASP, was the officer commanding the Nigerian Police Mobile Force Squadron 73 in Magumeri, Borno state.
