According to report reaching oyogist.com, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Diran Odeyemi has warned that should Governor Seyi Makinde allow the bitterness and crisis in the South-West Chapter of the PDP to fester, the impact may be too enormous for him to bear.

Admitting that there is crisis in the South-West Chapter of the PDP, he said “I am a practical person and I am not going to deny the fact we have crisis in the PDP in the South-West, but what I want to assure you is that se know how to resolve our crisis and that is why our Party still stays till today.

“I need to say this, nobody is contesting the leadership of the Party in the South West with Gov. Makinde including Gov. Fayose.

“Crisis started perhaps because Governor Seyi Makinde is yet to realize the enormous duty on His head as the Leader in the South West. He has not realized it! Crisis started from the fact that Governor Seyi Makinde has his own style of operation when it comes to politics and other things. Its not bad to have a style but when it excludes some of us who are Stakeholders, we have to speak against it. I am by the grace of God today the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of our Party, we have another man who is the Deputy National Chairman from Ogun State and someone else from Ekiti State who is the National Treasurer. All of us are from the South-West. There is no way you can call a South-West meeting and exclude all of us for whatsoever reason.

“You don’t have to like our face, you don’t have to like our names or our personality but for the position that we hold, we just must be at that meeting. Since se were not invited to that meeting, then, whoever calls us for another meeting, we just must go there and that was exactly what happened. Whatever decision is taken outside our presence, we are bound to have another decision against what they did and that is where the crisis is”.
