According to report reaching oyogist.com, the Nigerian House of Senate has reportedly confirmed the the appointment of Prof. Mahmood Yakubu for a second term in office as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman.
OYOGist.com learned that the Senate confirmation of Prof. Mahmood Yakubu was okayed following the submitted recommendation report of the Senate Committee on INEC which was led by Senator Kabiru Gaya.
The Senate Committee on INEC, in their recommendation, described Prof. Mahmood Yakubu as the best man for the job. The Senate committee on INEC also noted that Prof. Yakubu is very experienced and he’s the most suitable candidate.
