Gov. Seyi Makinde got conferred as the Grand Patron of the NUJ in Oyo State

The Oyo state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde was conferred as the Grand patron of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Oyo state council, during Oyo State NUJ 2020 Press Week on Monday evening.

Oyogist.com gathered the report on the official twitter handle of the govornor @seyiamakinde, when he posted that

“It was an honour to be conferred a Grand Patron of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, as part of activities to mark the Oyo State NUJ 2020 Press Week, this evening.”

“The theme for the week is ‘Journalists and the Development of Underdevelopment in Nigeria,’ and I spoke about the important role which journalists, as the fourth estate of the realm, can play to develop our nation. I also urged them to discharge their duties responsibly.”

He also commissioned the Oyo NUJ Guest House which was reconstructed and upgraded by the Ademola Babalola led executive of the NUJ, Oyo State Council.
