According to report reaching oyogist.com, the United States of America has reportedly extended the sale deadline of Chinese social media application, TikTok from November 27 to December 4.

This was made known by the US Treasury spokesperson who stated that “the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) has granted ByteDance a one-week extension, from November 27, 2020 to December 4, 2020 to allow time to review a revised submission that the Committee recently received.”

The Trump led administration had recently expressed national security concerns over the use of the app claiming the app can be used as a Chinese spy tool which poses great threat to the United States.

The Trump administration had since then refused to grant the Chinese application a free hand of operating in the US but with a clause, stating that TikTok has to be a firm controlled by the American investors for it to be able to avert the operation ban in the United States.

However, there has been a very high tensed situation between the United States of America and China on trade and national securities with the US threatening to place a ban on major Chinese interests.
