According to news reaching OYOGist.com, the State Security Service, SSS, has allegedly detained the international passport of Moe Odele, popularly known as Moechievous on Twitter, on her way to the Maldives for her birthday party.
The seizure reportedly happened while she was at the airport on her way to the scenic Asian holiday island.
Users have determined that the seizure of her international passport by the DSS and placing her under investigation is not unconnected to her role in the peaceful #EndSARS protests.
Moe is the co-founder of Feminist Coalition, the body that organized support for protesters and provided free medical care and legal aids to the injured and arrested protesters.
While she has since been allowed to return home and is currently safe, her International passport is still reportedly detained and she has been placed under investigation by the SSS.
However, people have called the act by the SSS unconstitutional, and the law does not grant the security department powers to withhold the passports of Nigerian citizens.
