The Ogun State Police Command Arrests 31-Year-Old Man For Allegedly Killing His Girlfriend

According to report reaching OYOGist.com, the Ogun state police command have arrested a 31-year-old man identified as Rexlawson Johnson for the murder of his 26-year-old girlfriend, Patricia John. The suspect was arrested by the police following a report by one Adebayo Aladesuyi who is a manager of “Molayo Hotel”, Ibafo.

According to the Manager of the hotel, the dead body of Patricia was discovered in one of the hotel rooms as they were carrying out a routine check.

There were bruises on the dead body of the deceased which was a clear indication that she was strangled to death. Following the reports, the DPO Ibafo police division CSP Jude Joshua led his men to the scene and recovered the dead body of the deceased person. The dead body was later deposited at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital In Shagamu for postmortem examination.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the dead girl came into the hotel with a man who later sneaked out of the hotel after killing the girl. An indepth investigation later revealed the identity of the suspect who was traced and arrested by the police.

After the arrest of the suspect, he confessed that he checked into the hotel with the deceased. He also confessed that they got into an argument which led to physical confrontation.

The suspect also revealed that he attacked the deceased and she subsequently passed out and later died. He sneaked out of the hotel room and left her body there.

The state Commissioner of police, CP Edward Awolowo Ajogun has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for a more in-depth investigation and possible prosecution.
