Oyogist.com earlier reported that the state government had requested the closure of all schools successful last Wednesday in the wake of gridlock and badgering of residents that went with the #EndSARS protest.
State Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology, Mr Olasunkanmi Olaleye, passed on the resuming mandate in an announcement on Sunday.
Olaleye pivoted the resuming request on government’s recognition that regularity had gotten back to the state.
The announcement read, “His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde coordinated the conclusion of schools in Ibadan city on Tuesday, twentieth of October, in the wake of #Endsars fights that shook the state.
“His Excellency, had in a message to the individuals of Oyo State expressed that the circumstance will be evaluated on Friday 23rd October 2020.
“Following an audit of the circumstance as prior guaranteed, the state government is glad to see that routineness has gotten back to the state in the result of the fights.
“His Excellency, the Governor acknowledges the young people who have been helping out security agents to look after harmony, while guaranteeing them that their requests are being tended to.”
