Within the space of a week, the landscape of Lagos State took a turn for the worse as hoodlums took advantage of tensed-up situation in the state following the massacre of unarmed protesters.
OYOGist.com recalls that on Tuesday (20 -October -2020), the Governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu declared curfew in the state.
The military later stormed the Lekki Toll Plaza to enforce the curfew. They surrounded the peaceful #EndSARS protesters and opened fire on them that night, killing at least 15 people.
What followed it was unimaginable amount of violence, destruction and riots from aggrieved youths.
The Governor on Friday took men of the media and some stakeholders round the city to assess the situation following the violent uprising that happened in the state.
