MORE Details below;
According to a user report, the attack is a build up of rising tensions between Fulani herdsmen and Oyigbo residents. It is not particularly clear what has led to the tensions between the two communities, but it seems the herdsmen have started terrorizing the community for days, hiding under the cover of the #EndSARS protests.
Another user says the members of the community are defending themselves and have armed themselves with machetes to fight back the bandits.
The attacks reportedly started last night, with arsons and shooting.
According to another user report, the attacks are allegedly retaliation for killing one of the Fulani herdsmen that live at Yam Zone.
The area, according to user report, is reputed for being a no-response zone to law-enforcement.
