OYOGist.com has learned that the End SARS protests is still on despite the announcement made on Sunday which said that SARS has been disbanded. With the protesters still out in the streets Rinu Oduala, one of those fronting the protests, has adviced the protesters on what to do after she revealed that the police is been supplied more ammunitions, also telling them to pass the information quickly.
She released this information through her twitter account and from what the tweet said she has advised all those currently out protesting not to stray far away from the group, that she heard from a reliable source that the police stations are receiving ammunitions which are meant to be used for the protesters.
It should be known that the hashtag for the End SARS movement has been changed to #SARSMUSTEND after it was noticed that it was removed from the top trends on twitter despite a lot of people still using the #EndSARS hashtag.
In previous years SARS have been reported to have been disbanded on three previous occasions but that was never actualized. This time around the youths have decided to make sure they never return to harass innocent people by demanding what is seen in the below photo, which is why the protest is still on.
Based on this, at the time of writing, popular Nigerian music artist, Davido and a few others are engaged in a meeting with the government which is represented by the police, headed by police PRO, DCP Frank Mba, to discuss on the above listed demands.
