The North London club will reportedly not be able to afford to secure the services of Barcelona playmaker, when the transfer window is reopened in the summer, oyogist.com reports.

The 28 years old has been unable to meet the standard set for him at the Camp Nou, following his big money move from the Merseyside Red, and this made Barcelona to loan him out to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

The Brazil international who currently ply his trade in the German club on loan has been superb during this campaign, of which he had been directly involved in 17 goals, founding the back of the net 9 times and provided 8 assists in 34 games in the German top tier.


Philippe Coutinho has been shown interest by several Premier League clubs, of which Arsenal has been reported to be strongly linked with the 28 years old, as they viewed him as a way to bolster their attack ahead of the next campaign.

The North London club have been reported not to be able to afford the signature of the Brazilian, as Barcelona now values him in the region of £60m and his weekly wages of £250,000 a-week will also be a problem for the Gunners, who are currently battling the financial impact of coronavirus pandemics.

However, Barcelona are ready to offload him as a way to get fund to finance a move for their Inter Milan transfer target Lautaro Martinez.
