According to reports reaching OYOGist.com, Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has revived his interest in signing Super Eagles of Nigeria and Lille FC Striker Victor Osimhen, despite the fact that the player is presently in Italy negotiating a possible move to Napoli.
L’Equipe also reported that Jurgen Klopp remain “Very interested” and he’s hopeful of signing the striker ahead of Napoli and other interested teams.
The 21 years old who is rated €85 million (£75 million) is a target for Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, AC Milan etc, and it was reported that Lille rejected a huge amount of money from Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur in the last Winter transfer window, because the player was not interested in the deal, as he wants to remain his club’s number one striker.
The report says Victor Osimhen is giving Napoli the condition that they are not likely to follow, and Jurgen Klopp is trying to use that avenue to hijack the talented striker who just won Africa footballer of the year in France.
The German coach who just won the English Premier league title for Liverpool has started planning towards defending his title next season, and he wanted to sign Timo Werner from RB Leipzig before joining Chelsea, and Victor Osimhen is now the number one target.
Victor Osimhen who was named Marc-Vivien Foe Africa footballer of the year in France on Monday, joined Lille from Sporting Charleroi of Belgium in the last Summer transfer window for a fee around €13 million, and he has been outstanding for the club since then, scoring 18 goals with 6 assists in all competitions last season.
