Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has ordered all the State Government workers in the state secretariat that had been on stay-at-home order due to the deadly coronavirus to resume work effective from Monday, OYOGist.com has gathered.
The Governor made the announcement during one of his daily COVID-19 Task Force briefings.
The Agodi Secretariat workers are to resume work on Monday the 22nd of June, 2020, according to the Governor.
“All workers at the State Secretariat, Agodi are to resume work on Monday, June 22, 2020,” Seyi Makinde posted on Twitter.
COVID-19 cases in Oyo State have been on a steady rise since one company recorded over 200 confirmed cases.
From a random 5 to 15 cases daily, Oyo State has seen 30 and more cases recently. And on Monday, being today when the Governor made the announcement, there were 68 confirmed new COVID-19 cases.
