Gov Hope Uzodimma Withdraws State Vehicles from PDP Secretariat

The Imo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP have raised alarm over the invasion of their Secretariat by agents of the Hope Uzodinma administration. Mr. Ogubundu Nwadike, the acting State Publicity Secretary, of the party made this known in a press release he signed.

According to Nwadike, a government Taskforce from the Government House, Owerri had invaded the State Secretariat of Imo PDP and forcefully take away two vehicles, one (1) JAC Truck and one (1) Innoson Truck which were given voluntarily to the party by the Ihedioha administration. Nwadike who stated that the order was from Gov Hope Uzodinma and demanded for the vehicles to be returned to the government.

Nwadike stated that until the repossession of the vehicles, they were property of the Imo Chapter of the PDP, and were in the possession of to the State Chairman, Chief Martin Ejiogu, and the State Secretary, Hon. Nze Ray Emeana respectively.

Nwadike stated that it was the first time, since the history of the state that vehicles donated to a political party, would be repossessed by another administration.

He also pointed out that when Ihedioha was in power, vehicles donated to the APC in the state by the Okorocha administration were not repossessed. Nwadike stated that the party deemed that action, as Uzodinma’s way to ruthlessly deal with the party in the state.

Nwadike stated that the order for the withdrawal of the vehicles, were communicated in two letter presented to the party by the government. The PDP spokesman stated that the task force, acknowledged the receipt of the vehicles in writing.
