On Thursday, the Lagos state government announced that all religious centres should be reopened in two weeks. On hearing this, the General Overseer of the Household of God Church, Chris Okotie rejected the guidelines, saying the “fulfilment of the Bible prophecy” against the church is already being played out and that rearranging the church’s mode of worship is “to deny God the divine prerogative of congregational adoration”.
The clergyman added saying that, his church will remain closed till the virus is gone whereby the guidelines laid down won’t be effective again as people could go back to the normal way of worship.
