Amy Cooper, a white lady who used threatening racist attempts to endanger the life of a black man who told her to put a leash on her dog in a place called Rambler in Central park has apologized, OYOGist.com has learned.

On the 25th of May 2020, Amy Cooper, referred to as Karens, was shown in a video calling 911 after telling the black man who politely asked her to put a leash on her dog saying, “I’ll call the cops and tell them an African American is threatening me and my dog!”

The video clip, shared by the man’s sister, Melody Cooper, showed Amy strangling her dog while making effort to frame the man for threatening her life.

People also accused Amy Cooper of endangering the life of the dog by dragging it through a harness tied on its neck as she struggled with her phone.

Amy was said to have allegedly returned the dog to the shelter. NewYorkPost published a report with comments from Abandoned Angels Cocker Spaniel Rescue, where Amy allegedly got the dog from.

“As of this evening, the owner has voluntarily surrendered the dog in question to our rescue while this matter is being addressed,” Abandoned Angels Cocker Spaniel Rescue said in a statement.

“The dog is now in our rescue’s care and he is safe and in good health,” the group said.

Twitter users had quickly uncovered her profile and published a picture of her LinkedIn page, linking her to an insurance firm named Franklin Templeton.

The company said it had placed Amy Cooper on administrative leave while it conducts its own investigations on the issue.

In an interview with NBC New York, Amy was said to have later apologized.

“I sincerely and humbly apologize to everyone, especially to that man, his family,” she told the network. “It was unacceptable and I humbly and fully apologize to everyone who’s seen that video, everyone that’s been offended… everyone who thinks of me in a lower light and I understand why they do.”
