Mr. Bola Longe, Commissioner of Police Nasarawa State command has confirmed the arrest of four suspected kidnappers linked to the abduction of Arch Bishop Joseph Masin in the State.
Bishop Masin was abducted by gunmen from his residence in Lafia on May 28, 2020, and taken away on a motorcycle according to a family source.
The police boss, who confirmed the release of the State CAN chairman to The Punch on Sunday in Lafia, said no ransom was paid before he was released, adding that investigation was ongoing to arrest all those involved in the kidnap.
According to him, all the suspects would be charged to court for prosecution as soon as the command completes its investigation to serve as a deterrent to others.
Corroborating the release, Pastor Sam Joseph, son of the CAN Chairman told our correspondent that his father regained his freedom at 10: 45 p.m. on Saturday, around Lizhi village in Nasarawa-Eggon Local Government Area of the State.

He said the bishop, however, arrived his Bukan-Sidi residence in Lafia at 3:00 a.m on Sunday and had been taken for medical examination in an undisclosed hospital.
Our correspondent recalled that the State CAN Chairman, who is also the Bishop and General-Overseer of World of God Worldwide Gospel City was kidnapped on May 28, 2020.
