US President, Donald Trump has revealed that he has ordered an expedited investigation into the killing of unarmed black man, George Floyd by four policemen that took place in Minneapolis on the 25th of May, 2020.
The President on his social media page revealed that he ordered the FBI and the Department of Justice to investigate the case from the beginning, and that he has ordered the agencies to expedite their investigations so that justice can be delivered for George Floyd.
He shared this on Facebook yesterday night in a post that read:
“At my request, the FBI and the Department of Justice are already well into an investigation as to the very sad and tragic death in Minnesota of George Floyd. I have asked for this investigation to be expedited and greatly appreciate all of the work done by local law enforcement.
“My heart goes out to George’s family and friends. Justice will be served!”
OYOGist.com recalls that the four officers have been fired following the outrage caused the the murder of the unarmed man.
The lead criminal in the case, Derek Chauvin is being pushed to be charged with criminal case in the murder. The mayo of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey also requested that Derek should face criminal charges.
George Floyd’s sister Bridget Floyd says the officers involved should be in jail and charged with murder.
