NCDC records 386 new COVID-19 cases in Nigeria, bringing total to 3912

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC), has on Friday, the 8th of May, 2020, recorded 386 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria, with 176 in Lagos, OYOGist.com reports.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria now stands at 3912.

According to the NCDC, the COVID-19 cases were recorded in 20 states (including the FCT) within the country with Lagos state taking the lead.

Other states are 65-Kano, 31-Katsina, 20-FCT, 17-Borno, 15-Bauchi, 14-Nasarawa, 13-Ogun, 10-Plateau, 4-Oyo, 4-Sokoto, 4-Rivers, 3-Kaduna, 2-Edo 2-Ebonyi, 2-Ondo, 1-Enugu, 1-Imo, 1-Gombe and 1 in Osun.

As at 11:30 PM on Friday, the 8th of May, 2020, there are 117 COVID-19 related deaths, while 679 cases have recovered and have been discharged.
