A now-viral story shared on Reddit narrated how a bride asked her close friend (an adult female) to be her flower girl, and keep it a secret from others has come to OYOGist.com.
The story was shared by the Reddit User IGuessImAFlowerGirl, and then went viral after it was reblogged on Twitter by @Relationships.txt.
A 24-year-old lady, who goes by the ID IGuessIAmAFlowerGirl on Reddit posted that her longtime friend was getting married and they were going over the plans on Facetime when her friend asked her to be her flower girl.
IGuessIAmAFlowerGirl said she wasn’t expecting to be a bridesmaid but was shocked at the request to be a flower girl instead.
“I’m in shock,” she said. “Basically, she wants me to act like a bridesmaid, but not be one.”
Others have responded to her story in varying reactions, with some telling her the friend doesn’t take her seriously, while others insist that she uninvites herself from the wedding. Some others, however, see nothing wrong with the idea.
Somebody even ran a poll on it, with most people voting that she tell her she’s not okay with the plan.
