It seems the COVID-19 Pandemic is not the only crisis that we are facing, with clubs struggling to keep a player under his own terms.

Chelsea are known to be controlling the age of players who may clock or are above 30 years in their squad and not give them a contract extension above a year though they broke that rule with David Luiz.

Extending the Brazilian’s contract to a further two years before he moved to a fellow London club and rival, Arsenal. It is believed that the 31-year-old is demanding a contract extension of three years as he feels he’s done enough for the Blues to deserve an extension which may be way off the Blue’s policy.

It is believed that Liverpool have approached Willian as his contract with Chelsea is stalling, with a bid to lure him to Anfield for a free with his contract due to expire at the end of the season.

Chelsea are willing to keep the Brazilian but are reluctant to yield to his desire of a three year extension, with the incoming Hakim Ziyech under consideration.
