The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi on Tuesday 21st of April confirmed two new Coronavirus-related deaths, despite having no new record of confirmed cases in the last 24 hours, OYOGist.com is aware.
The two deaths, according to a report released by Prof Abayomi revealed that one of the deceased was a male (45) who returned from a trip to India in January 2020.
“The second death involved a 36-year-old Nigerian; female with severe underlying health condition(s). She had no history of travel or contact with any #COVID19 confirmed case,” Akin Abayomi wrote.
Lagos State is the epicenter of the Coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria, with at least 379 confirmed cases of 665 in Nigeria as of 11:51 PM on Monday, 20th of April.
Prof Abayomi confirmed that there are now a total of 16 Coronavirus-related deaths in Lagos State.
