A video that has since gone viral on social media shows the moment some police officers in Iwo, Osun State brutally flogging a woman who was caught outside her house, OYOGist.com reports.
One of the officers was identified as Sergent Iku Esan.
The lady, identified as Tola Azeez said she was on her way to buy drugs and some relief materials for her people when the officers approached her and started flogging her.
The video was shared by online activist and entertainer Michael Ugochukwu Stephens popularly known as RuggedMan.
“Dear PoliceNG, here’s a video of a Police officer Sergent Iku Esan & his colleagues flogging a woman for sitting outside her house in Iwo, Osun State #StayHome,” Ruggedman tweeted.
Tola Azeez later came to lament that she’s not feeling well and feels pain all over her body. She also revealed that the police officer in question, Sergeant Ikuesan is notorious for being brutal towards people in Osun State.
