According to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC), as of Friday 17th of April 2020, there are 51 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria with 17 deaths, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 493, OYOGist.com reports.
The new cases were recorded from the following states: Lagos with 32 cases, 6 in Kano, 5 in Kwara, 2 in FCT, 2 in Oyo, 2 in Katsina, 1 in Ogun, 1 in Ekiti.
There were a total of 159 cases that have recovered.
The number of confirmed cases recorded today, Friday 17th of April, is the highest number of confirmed cases recorded in a day in Nigeria since the outbreak.
