The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported that there are now 14 new confirmed Coronavirus cases in Nigeria on Thursday, 9th of April 2020, OYOGist.com reports.
The new cases were reported in Lagos with 13 cases and 1 in Delta State. This now brings the total confirmed cases in Nigeria to 288 and that of Lagos State to 158.
The number of discharged cases have also risen to 51 as Lagos announced the total recovery of 7 new cases that were discharged in Lagos on Thursday, 9th of April, 2020.
There are now a total of 7 Coronavirus-related deaths in Nigeria as of Thursday, 9th April 2020.
“Fourteen new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: 13 in Lagos and 1 in Delta State As at 09:30 pm 9th April there are 288 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Fifty-one have been discharged with seven deaths,” NCDC published on Thursday.

Also, the NCDC released a tweet that announced a correction to an earlier report that said there were 2 new cases in Bauchi. The commission said the cases were a repeat of an earlier confirmed report.
