FG bans public gatherings for the next 30 days

The Federal Government of Nigeria has on Wednesday 18th of March, announced a ban on public gatherings. This ban is expected to affect places like clubs, malls and places of worship.

On Wednesday, OYOGist.com brought the report of five additional confirmed coronavirus cases in Nigeria, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 8.

One of the recent 5 patients was traced to Ekiti State.

A more detailed report released by the Ekiti State government revealed that the patient has spent 2 weeks in Ibadan before traveling to Ekiti State.

The ministry of health is now working with the Oyo State government to trace the people the Ekiti Covid-19 patient might have come in contact with during his 2 weeks visit to Ibadan.

Follow the confirmation of the new cases, the Federal Government placed travel bans on 13 countries in a bid to curb the spread of the virus in the country.
