American rapper, Bashar Jackson — known as Pop Smoke, has been shot dead by two masked and hooded men in what the media has described as a home invasion.
Pop Smoke was only 20 years old at the time of his death.
According to TMZ, Pop Smoke was attacked by two hooded men who wore masks in his home in Hollywood, Los Angeles, on Wednesday, 19th of February 2020.
According to reports, Pop’s death incident might have been a targeted robbery attack. The rap artist had on Tuesday posted an image of himself holding wards of cash in a luxury SUV outside a home in LA. In a different photo posted earlier, his geolocator pointed him at Los Angeles on Instagram.
One of his friends had also posted a similar photo on the social media where both were in the photo that had an address number visible.
This has led people to believe that the attack that led to his death was a result of the images he shared online.

Pop Smoke was a rising rap star, with a bright career already on track. He had collaborated with acts such as Quavo, Nicki Minaj and Travis Scott.
One of his album titled Meet the Woo 2 had success after its release earlier this month, reaching No 7 in the US charts.
