The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has landed in Ethiopia’s Addis Ababa to partake in the 33rd Ordinary Session of Heads to State and Government of the African Union (AU).
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the President’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmed, confirmed the arrival of the President on Twitter.
The President was received at Addis Ababa by the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed Ali on Friday 7th February 2020, NAN reports.
According to a statement shared by Malam Garba Shehu, a spokesman to President Buhari on Thursday, the President is expected to be joined by other leaders who are members of the 55-country member Summit.
The 2020 AU Summit is tagged “Silencing the Guns: Creating Conducive Conditions for Africa’s Development.”
