Instagram big boy and bureau de change operator, Ismaila Mustapha, popularly known as Mompha, who was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) in October 2019 has explained that haters were behind his ordeal with EFCC.
Mompha was arrested at the Abuja airport in October 18 2019. Mompha was charged allegations of several counts of fraud including Business Email Compromise (BEC), money laundry, cyber fraud. He was held in the custody of EFCC for 40 days before he was released on bail.
He has come on Instagram to share the reason behind his arrest.
“Every situation you find yourself in prayer is the only key!” Mompha shared on his Instagram post about the arrest.
“No Interpol or FBI is looking for me cos I don’t know where all these stories of my arrest are coming from,” Ismaila shared.
“I have never defrauded anyone or steal from anyone also no petition on mo or anyone or company reported me (sic). They did this to me because of Hate, Enviness, Jealousy (sic)” Mompha shared in his Instagram post.
