Nigerian man moves round Ado-Ekiti to show Nigerians the state of things after comedian Seyi Law claimed that Governor Abiodun Oyebanji has transformed the state (video)

Unveiling the Reality of Ado-Ekiti: A Ground-Level Perspective

In response to recent commendations by comedian Seyi Law, who applauded Governor Abiodun Oyebanji for his purported transformative impact on Ekiti State, a Nigerian resident has embarked on a revealing tour of Ado-Ekiti, the state capital. His aim: to present an alternative narrative that challenges the glowing reports of progress.

On-the-Ground Observations Highlighting Neglect

Through a series of videos circulated on social media platforms, the man navigates the lesser-known inner streets of Ado-Ekiti, documenting conditions that starkly contrast with official claims. He points out numerous neglected areas, emphasizing the poor upkeep of public infrastructure. Among the most concerning visuals are those of dilapidated public school buildings, which he describes as falling far below acceptable standards for educational facilities.

Prolonged Infrastructure Projects and Environmental Concerns

One focal point of his critique is a bridge construction project that has reportedly lingered incomplete for nearly three years. The unfinished structure, he argues, poses significant environmental and safety risks to the surrounding communities. Such stalled developments raise questions about project management and accountability within the state’s administration.

Contextualizing the Debate: Governance and Public Perception

This grassroots exposé emerges amid a broader discourse on governance effectiveness in Ekiti State. While public figures like Seyi Law advocate for the governor’s re-election based on perceived achievements, firsthand accounts from residents paint a more complex picture. This dichotomy underscores the importance of independent assessments and citizen engagement in evaluating government performance.

Current Insights and Broader Implications

Recent data from the National Bureau of Statistics indicates that infrastructure development in many Nigerian states, including Ekiti, faces challenges such as funding gaps and project delays. Comparable cases in other regions, like the prolonged roadworks in parts of Enugu State, reflect systemic issues that hinder timely completion of public works. These realities highlight the need for transparent governance and sustained community involvement to ensure that development projects meet their intended goals.

Watch the Full Video Tour Below

To gain a clearer understanding of the situation, watch the detailed video documenting the current state of Ado-Ekiti’s infrastructure and public amenities.

Lady Narrates How She Caught Neighbour Allegedly Stealing Her Diesel

by Ayodeji Onibalusi February 26, 2026
written by Ayodeji Onibalusi

A Nigerian woman has shared how she allegedly caught her neighbour in the act of stealing diesel from her home after noticing her supply was finishing faster than usual.

According to her account posted on social media, she became suspicious when her diesel began depleting at an unusual rate. She decided to set a trap, observing that the theft likely occurred at a specific time when the electric fence was usually switched off and the dogs were locked up to rest.

She said she followed the normal routine that day, pretended to leave the house, then quietly returned through the back door to wait.

To her shock, she claimed her neighbour casually walked into her compound, carried stored diesel, and even drained fuel directly from her generator. She waited until he had moved everything to his side and was attempting to jump back over the fence.

At that moment, she turned the electric fence back on and released the dogs, leaving the suspect trapped on the fence. According to her, he remained stuck for hours before police were eventually called to pick him up.

Photos shared online show a man perched awkwardly on a fence, allegedly unable to climb down or escape.

The incident has sparked reactions online, with many praising the woman’s patience and strategy, while others urged residents to prioritize proper security measures and legal processes in handling neighbourhood disputes.

Authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.

Muhammadu Indimi Ordered to Pay $43.51 Million in Dividend Dispute Involving Daughters

by Ayodeji Onibalusi February 25, 2026
written by Ayodeji Onibalusi

A Nigerian court has ordered oil firm Oriental Energy Resources to pay $43.51 million to twin sisters Ameena and Zara Indimi in a high-profile dividend dispute.

The ruling stems from a legal battle in which the sisters alleged that their shareholdings in the company were reduced without their consent, resulting in their exclusion from a significant dividend payout. They argued that the adjustment to their equity stakes left them unpaid during a major dividend round.

The court’s decision mandates payment of $43.51 million, marking a significant development in the ongoing family dispute tied to one of Nigeria’s most prominent oil business families.

Muhammadu Indimi, founder of Oriental Energy Resources and a well-known figure in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, has long been associated with major upstream operations in the country. The case has drawn widespread attention due to the scale of the financial claims and the public profile of the parties involved.

Legal analysts say the judgment could have broader implications for corporate governance, shareholder rights, and transparency within privately held companies, particularly those controlled by family interests.

As of the time of this report, it remains unclear whether an appeal will be filed. Further proceedings may determine the final enforcement of the payment order.

The case continues to generate strong public interest, reflecting the intersection of family dynamics, corporate control, and high-stakes finance in Nigeria’s oil industry.

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso Pays Courtesy Visit to Seyi Makinde in Ibadan

by Ayodeji Onibalusi February 25, 2026
written by Ayodeji Onibalusi

Former Kano State Governor and national political figure Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde at the Government House in Ibadan.

Kwankwaso disclosed the visit in a public statement, noting that their discussions centered on “important priorities and pressing national issues.” While specific details of the meeting were not made public, the engagement has sparked political interest given the stature of both leaders.

Photographs shared from the visit show the two politicians in closed-door discussions, as well as meeting with other officials. The visit comes amid ongoing conversations about governance, national development, and political realignments ahead of future electoral cycles.

Kwankwaso, a former presidential candidate and influential northern political figure, remains an active voice in national affairs. Governor Makinde, a prominent figure in southern politics, has also played a visible role in broader national policy debates.

Analysts suggest the meeting may reflect continued consultations among key political stakeholders across regional lines, though neither camp has indicated any formal political alliance.

Further details on the substance of their discussions have not yet been released.

‘Massive Mistake’ – Mikel Obi slams Chelsea for going ‘five steps backwards’ by sacking Enzo Maresca

by hassan February 25, 2026
written by hassan

John Obi Mikel Criticizes Chelsea’s Decision to Dismiss Enzo Maresca

Former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has openly condemned the club’s recent choice to relieve Enzo Maresca of his coaching duties, branding it a “huge error” that has caused the team to regress significantly.

Maresca’s Impact and Achievements at Chelsea

Mikel, who had a distinguished career at Stamford Bridge, was a vocal supporter of Maresca’s tenure. During the Italian’s leadership, Chelsea secured notable trophies including the UEFA Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup—milestones that Mikel views as clear indicators of the club’s upward trajectory.

Concerns Over Chelsea’s Direction Post-Maresca

In a recent episode of The Obi One Podcast, Mikel expressed his disappointment, emphasizing that Maresca had started to instill a recognizable playing philosophy at Chelsea before his unexpected exit.

“Enzo Maresca was building something meaningful here. Letting him go was a massive misstep,” Mikel stated. “He brought us silverware and a style that fans could identify with. Instead of moving forward, it feels like we’ve taken several steps back.”

Evaluating Liam Rosenior’s Interim Leadership

While acknowledging that Maresca’s replacement, Liam Rosenior, has managed to secure some victories, Mikel insists that Chelsea’s performances lack a crucial element, especially noticeable in recent home matches against Leeds United and Burnley.

“Liam has done well in terms of results, but there’s something missing in the team’s overall approach. It’s clear that the squad hasn’t found its rhythm yet,” Mikel added.

Ongoing Debate Among Fans and Analysts

Rosenior’s tenure has seen only two defeats, both at the hands of Arsenal in the Carabao Cup semi-finals. Despite this, discussions continue regarding whether Chelsea have genuinely advanced since the managerial switch.

For Mikel, the trophies won and the distinct tactical identity under Maresca were signs of sustainable growth, and he fears that the club may have halted this promising momentum prematurely.

Looking Ahead: The Challenge for Chelsea

As Chelsea navigates this transitional phase, the pressure mounts to restore stability and recapture the progress made under Maresca. With the Premier League’s competitive landscape intensifying—where clubs like Manchester City and Arsenal are setting high standards—Chelsea’s leadership decisions will be pivotal in shaping their future success.

SA president, Cyril Ramaphosa thanks Putin for release of South Africans lured into Russia-Ukraine war

by hassan February 25, 2026
written by hassan

South African President Acknowledges Putin’s Role in Repatriating Citizens from Russia-Ukraine Conflict

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has publicly conveyed his sincere appreciation to Russian President Vladimir Putin for facilitating the return of South African nationals who were reportedly enticed into participating in the ongoing Russia–Ukraine war.

Current Status of Repatriated South Africans

According to an official statement from the South African presidency, out of 17 men believed to have been deceived into joining Russian-affiliated mercenary groups, 15 have either already returned or are in the process of returning to South Africa. Four individuals arrived last week, with another 11 expected imminently. Two remain in Russia as repatriation efforts continue.

Background: Calls for Help from Donbas Region

In November, the South African government disclosed that it had received urgent distress signals from these men, who reported being trapped in the Donbas area of eastern Ukraine. They were allegedly lured by false promises, which led to their involvement in the conflict under misleading pretenses.

Presidential Gratitude and Diplomatic Cooperation

“President Ramaphosa extends his profound thanks to President Putin, who responded affirmatively to requests for assistance in securing the safe return of these citizens,” the presidency’s release stated.

Ongoing Investigations into Recruitment Practices

Authorities have confirmed that investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the recruitment of these men into mercenary roles. South African law strictly forbids citizens from engaging in foreign military service without official government approval.

Context: Foreign Fighters in the Russia-Ukraine War

The conflict, which escalated following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022, has attracted combatants from various countries, including numerous African nations. Ukrainian sources have reported identifying over 1,400 individuals from 36 African countries among Russian forces.

Reports of Deceptive Recruitment Across Africa

Investigative journalism has uncovered multiple instances of misleading recruitment tactics in Africa. For example, Kenyan citizens have reported being promised lucrative overseas employment, only to find themselves conscripted into military roles in Russia, highlighting a broader pattern of exploitation.

Political Repercussions Within South Africa

The situation has sparked political debate domestically. Notably, a daughter of former South African President Jacob Zuma resigned from parliament amid allegations of involvement in recruitment activities. Local media have also suggested that some of the men were sent to Russia for security training linked to the MK party, historically associated with Zuma’s leadership from 2009 to 2018.

Government Commitment to Citizen Safety and Accountability

The South African government remains committed to thoroughly investigating these incidents while prioritizing the safe return of all remaining nationals involved.

Manchester United must go for the best class of manager despite Carrick’s 6 game unbeaten run – Gary Neville

by hassan February 25, 2026
written by hassan

Gary Neville Urges Manchester United to Seek Experienced Manager Despite Carrick’s Strong Start

Manchester United icon Gary Neville has expressed caution about appointing Michael Carrick as the club’s permanent manager, even though the former midfielder has sparked a remarkable revival since taking charge.

Carrick’s Impact: A Resurgence at Old Trafford

At 44 years old, Michael Carrick stepped up as interim manager after Ruben Amorim’s departure in January. Under his leadership, United have surged with five wins in six Premier League fixtures, reigniting hopes of securing a Champions League spot. This impressive run features key triumphs over top contenders like Manchester City and Arsenal.

Most recently, United edged out Everton 1-0 at Hill Dickinson Stadium, thanks to a late goal from substitute Benjamin Sesko, propelling the Red Devils back into the Premier League’s top four.

Neville’s Warning: Avoid Repeating Past Managerial Errors

Speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, Neville emphasized the importance of Manchester United pursuing a seasoned manager rather than rushing to confirm Carrick permanently. He highlighted the unpredictability of results and the necessity for strategic, long-term planning.

“Manchester United must look for a proven manager right now,” Neville stated. “Results can fluctuate, and the club needs a clear, well-thought-out plan.”

Learning from History: The Solskjaer Example

Neville referenced United’s recent tendency to appoint former players or relatively inexperienced coaches, pointing to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s tenure as a cautionary tale that ultimately fell short of expectations.

He added, “If Carrick leads United into the Champions League, excitement will build around giving him the job permanently. I have great affection for him, but the club should aim for the best available manager to minimize risks.”

Managerial Market Challenges and United’s Strategic Approach

Neville also noted that the pool of elite managerial candidates is shrinking, especially with Thomas Tuchel recommitting to his role in England, which limits United’s options.

He revealed conversations with club executives indicating that United are already assessing potential candidates but intend to delay any permanent appointment until the season’s conclusion, avoiding hasty decisions based on short-term success.

Optimism for European Qualification Under Carrick

Despite his reservations about Carrick’s long-term suitability, Neville believes the interim boss can steer United back into Europe’s premier competition this season. With no distractions from European fixtures, United could even challenge for a top-three finish, especially as rivals like Aston Villa, Chelsea, and Liverpool balance continental commitments.

“They’re winning both when playing well and when not at their best. The squad looks confident, and all the indicators are positive,” Neville remarked.

Conclusion: A Season of Hope, But Decisions Await

For now, Michael Carrick’s leadership has rekindled optimism at Old Trafford. However, whether this momentum will lead to a permanent managerial role remains to be seen as Manchester United weigh their options carefully ahead of the next chapter.

He cut off her head with kitchen knife – Nigerian woman narrates how her sister’s husband allegedly m8rdered her

by hassan February 25, 2026
written by hassan

Tragic Account of a Woman’s Murder in Rivers State

Chimereucheya Abigail Enyinnaya, a Nigerian woman, has shared a heartbreaking testimony about the brutal killing of her sister by her husband, Abuchi.

Details of the Incident

According to reports from the Rivers State Police Command, Abuchi was apprehended for allegedly murdering his wife in Amaji village, located within the Umuoyoro Community of Omuma Local Government Area. The tragic event unfolded on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the couple’s farm.

During a heated dispute, Abuchi reportedly attacked his wife, who was harvesting cassava at the time, using a kitchen knife to fatally wound her. The victim was a mother of two and had been married to Abuchi since 2020.

A Sister’s Heartfelt Plea

On Monday, February 24, Chimereucheya took to Facebook to express her anguish over the savage killing. She described Abuchi as a “beast” and recounted how he assaulted her sister before decapitating her with a kitchen knife.

Following the murder, Abuchi returned home and confessed to killing his wife. When his brother attempted to intervene, Abuchi allegedly shot him and fled the scene.

“My sister was mercilessly murdered by her husband. This is not a fictional story or a dramatization; it is my painful reality,” Chimereucheya wrote. “They married in December 2020. Abuchi, from Amaji village in Umuoyoro Community, Rivers State, is responsible for this heinous act.”

Police Investigation and Arrest

On the day of the incident, Abuchi had left his workshop around noon, informing his employer that he was going to visit his wife and children. Instead, he proceeded directly to the farm where the fatal attack occurred.

After the murder, Abuchi reportedly announced his crime and shot his brother when he tried to stop him. He then went into hiding but was captured by the police on Friday, February 20.

The case is currently under investigation by the Rivers State Criminal Investigation Department (CID), with Abuchi held in custody awaiting trial. Authorities have stated that there is no justification for his actions.

Impact and Call for Justice

Chimereucheya’s emotional message highlights the devastating consequences of domestic violence, especially on innocent children left behind. She implores the justice system to hold Abuchi accountable, emphasizing that such brutality must not go unpunished.

Her plea resonates with ongoing concerns about gender-based violence in Nigeria, where recent statistics indicate that approximately 30% of women have experienced some form of domestic abuse. This tragic case underscores the urgent need for stronger protective measures and awareness campaigns.

“My sister died silently, unable to tell the world the horrors she endured. This man does not deserve to live. I pray justice is served for her and our family,” Chimereucheya concluded.

“The older you get doesn’t mean you’re wiser” — ID Cabasa speaks on age and wisdom

by hassan February 25, 2026
written by hassan

Rethinking the Link Between Age and Wisdom: Insights from Music Executive ID Cabasa

Olumide Ogunade, widely recognized as ID Cabasa in the music industry, recently challenged the widespread notion that wisdom naturally accompanies aging. During an episode of The Clarity Zone podcast, the 50-year-old executive emphasized that growing older does not automatically equate to becoming wiser.

Experience vs. True Competence

ID Cabasa highlighted a common misconception where people equate experience with wisdom. He explained that many individuals mistake the accumulation of years and experiences for genuine competence. “Often, what people consider wisdom is actually just experience, but much of that experience may be outdated or irrelevant in today’s fast-evolving world,” he remarked.

Growth as the Real Catalyst for Wisdom

According to Cabasa, the key to acquiring wisdom lies in personal development rather than mere passage of time. “If you are actively growing and evolving, aging can coincide with increased wisdom. However, if you are simply getting older without growth, wisdom will not necessarily follow,” he stated.

Bridging the Generational Divide

Addressing the differences between generations, Cabasa noted that younger people today have been raised in a digital era, often with technology integrated into their daily lives from the start. “The current generation grew up with operating systems and digital tools as a norm, whereas older generations had to learn to adapt to these technologies. This shift means respect should not be demanded solely based on age,” he explained.

Why Age Alone Doesn’t Guarantee Wisdom

Recent studies support Cabasa’s perspective. For instance, a 2023 survey by the Pew Research Center found that 62% of adults believe that wisdom is more closely tied to life experiences and adaptability than to chronological age. This underscores the importance of continuous learning and openness to change as essential components of true wisdom.

Embracing Lifelong Learning

In today’s rapidly changing world, staying relevant requires more than just years lived. It demands a commitment to lifelong learning and the ability to update one’s knowledge and skills. Just as a software program requires regular updates to function optimally, individuals must also evolve to maintain their competence and insight.

Ultimately, ID Cabasa’s reflections invite us to reconsider how we value wisdom and respect, encouraging a focus on growth, adaptability, and genuine understanding rather than relying solely on age as a marker of insight.

New photos reveal inside Jeffrey Epstein’s Paris apartment with walls covered in framed photographs of nud3 women

Exclusive Glimpse Inside Jeffrey Epstein’s Paris Residence Amid Ongoing French Investigations

Recently unveiled photographs provide an unprecedented look into the Parisian apartment formerly owned by the notorious financier Jeffrey Epstein, as French authorities intensify their investigations into his extensive network.

Inside the Lavish and Eerie Paris Apartment

Published by the French daily Le Parisien, the images reveal an 18-room property on Avenue Foch, adorned with rich hues of red and orange. The walls are notably lined with numerous framed photographs depicting nude women, including one striking image of Epstein reclining alongside two topless women.

Among the apartment’s distinctive features is a massage room with red walls, which Paris prosecutors suspect may have been a site for illicit activities. Photographs from a 2019 police investigation show dimly lit interiors and personal belongings meticulously documented by investigators during their search.

Architectural and Decorative Highlights

Acquired in 2001, the apartment boasts opulent and eclectic décor. Highlights include a “Chinese room” embellished with dragon-patterned wallpaper, a leather-lined study, and a rotunda offering views of the Arc de Triomphe. The residence also contains unusual animal-themed decorations such as mounted horns and taxidermy, alongside amenities like a sauna and a private gym.

Connections to Broader Investigations and Legal Developments

Some photographs were collected during inquiries into Jean-Luc Brunel, a modeling agent closely linked to Epstein. Brunel faced charges including the rape of minors and human trafficking before his death by suicide in a Paris prison cell while awaiting trial.

Following the recent release of extensive U.S. Department of Justice documents related to Epstein, French prosecutors have launched two new investigations: one targeting human trafficking and another probing potential financial misconduct. Authorities are also revisiting earlier evidence connected to Brunel’s case.

Ongoing Impact and International Scrutiny

Public attention on Epstein surged after a joint FBI and U.S. Justice Department report confirmed his 2019 death by suicide in a Manhattan jail cell, where he awaited trial on federal sex trafficking charges. Despite his passing, the legal ramifications of his criminal enterprise continue to unfold globally.

The renewed French investigations underscore the persistent efforts to dismantle Epstein’s network and bring associated perpetrators to justice, reflecting a broader international commitment to combating human trafficking and exploitation.
