According to report reaching OYOGist.com, Okada riders in Festac town have reportedly clashed with the Lagos State Task Force at Second Rainbow road along Apapa-Oshodi Expressway.
According to eye witnesses the clash happened early hours on Tuesday after the Task Force attempt the seizure of motorcycles of the Okada riders in the area which later to a heavy resistance from the Okada riders.
The confrontation led to the burning of tyres on the road by the okada riders. The turn out event later resulted to a heavy traffic along the Mile 2 Express as the bonfires were set on the road.
The okada riders are also reported to have blocked major roads in Festival town refusing the passage of vehicles from the area as the the task were reported to have seized a large number of their bikes.
It should be noted that as at the time of filing this report, the okada riders are still protesting at the popular Apple Junction, in Amuwo Odofin Local Government area, Festac Town.
