The Katsina State Government has commenced the training of 1000 graduates from the rural communities in the state in entrepreneurship and self-empowerment activities,oyogist.com learnt.
The training would help fast track rural empowerment, and ensure fast economic growth in the state.
The State’s Commissioner for Rural Development, Alhaji Mustapha Kanti Bello, during a ministerial press briefing held at Government House Katsina, said that the larger population of Katsina people live in the rural communities, with attendant huge youth unemployment and poverty.
He further said the training would be in two phases, namely: Rural Feeder Roads Development and Rural Infrastructure and Economic Revalidation programmes.
