OYOGist.com has learned that Charles Oputa popularly known as Charly boy has blamed Adams Oshiomole for contaminating NLC and turning it into a toothless bulldog that cannot fight the government.
The Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, suspended its planned strike billed for Monday, September 28th, after an agreement between the labour unions and the federal government was reached in a meeting that was held later on Sunday into the early hours of the next day.
The suspended strike action by the Nigerian labour congress, has been widely condemned by some Nigerians who accuse the labour union of colluding with the federal government to suspend the strike.
Charly boy who is one those accusing the NLC of colluding with the federal government also blamed the former President of the NLC, Adams Oshiomole for what the union has become today. He accused him of contaminating the labour union with his antics while he was president, and also adds that Nigerians should not put their hopes on NLC to fight the government on their behalf.
Some civil society groups like the revolution now group and another led by Mr Femi Falana (SAN) has however promised a mass protest against some anti- people policies by the federal government.
Meanwhile, Mr Adams Oshiomole was the president of the NLC from 1999 to 2007 during the administration of former president, Olusegun Obasanjo.
