Available information reaching OYOGist.com have revealed that 2019 PDP Governorship aspirant, and former Senator that represented Owerri Zone, Senator Samuel Anyanwu (Sam Daddy) have dragged the Imo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to court over the outcome of the recent party Congress that produced a former Imo PDP Governorship candidate, Chief Engr. Charles Ugwu (Rokana), as Chairman of the party in the state.
A surprising addition to the suit is the former Federal House of Representatives member, who represented Njaba, Nkwerre and Njaba in the Federal House of Reps, Hon Jones Onyeriri, who contested the 2019 Orlu Zone Senate seat with former Govenror, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, and who was appointed an aide by former Govenror, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha.
Also included in the suit against the Imo PDP, is Hon Jerry Alagbaoso, the Federal House of Reps member representing Orlu/Oru East/Orsu Federal Constituency, amongst others.
They are challenging the outcoming of the Congress, which they claim was dominated by loyalists of Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha.
The State Chairman Ugwu, amongst other executives of the Imo PDP, left for Abuja today for a meeting with the National leadership of the party over the matter.
