A dramatic scene was caught on video when a woman was beaten by members of the Ogun State COVID-19 taskforce for crossing the boundary between Lagos and Ogun, OYOGist.com has gathered.
The woman, identified as Tolu Adesh, was on her way to buy a bicycle for her daughter when she was allegedly stopped at Ojodu by the men of the Ogun State Taskforce, Ifo LGA in Ogun for moving without a permit in the state.
The men seized her husband’s ID card and told them they would be taken to the Ogun State Taskforce office.
They told her she has to get a permit for N15,000 to enable her to move within Ogun State due to the total lockdown in the state.
The men told her to drive them to their office which is only 3 mins away from where she was stopped. According to the victim, she refused to let them into her car because of the COVID-19 pandemic and told them she’ll walk with them while her husband drove behind them.
The dramatic scene ensued in their office when they allegedly started to deflate her car tires and one of the officers of the Ogun Taskforce slapped her and proceeded to beat her up in the presence of her husband for attempting to record the incident.

In her husband’s presence? This man lacks respect both for men and women. The husband probably left him because he is a government officer. She was only to protect the safety of herself and her family against of Covid.
