Outrage as unarmed Ahmaud Arbery, black, is shot while jogging; watch viral video

Global outrage has ensued after an unarmed black man was shot by two white men in a Georgia, USA community after the man, Ahmaud Arbery, was mistaken for a burglar, OYOGist.com reports.

Global players, celebrities, politicians and famous athletes have all joined in a single voice against racial violence to call for the arrest of Ahmaud Arbery and fight for his justice.

The viral video showed the 25-year-old African American jogging while two white males, Gregory McMichael, a former police detective and his son, Travis going after him in a truck.

The father, Gregory McMichael, shot at at Ahmaud Arbery while a scuffle ensued between the men as Ahmaud tried to protect himself. Another shot was fired, and Ahmaud was killed.

The law in Georgia permits citizens to possess arms and make arrests but the video showing how Ahmaud Arbery was killed in February resurfacing online has drawn calls for the arrest of Gregory and Travis.

Leading basket ball player, Lebron James, has also lent his voice to the call for justice for Ahmaud Arbrey through an Instagram post he shared to his over 63 million followers.

James’s post also included an image of Ahmaud Arbery with an inscription similar to that of Kevin Hart.

“We’re literally hunted EVERYDAY/EVERYTIME we step foot outside the comfort of our homes!

“Can’t even go for a damn jog man! Like WTF man are you kidding me?!?!?!?!?!? No man fr ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!

“I’m sorry Ahmaud(Rest In Paradise) and my prayers and blessings sent to the heavens above to your family!!” LeBron James wrote on Instagram, using the hashtags :#StayWoke” and “#ProfiledCauseWeAreSimplyBlack”
