OYOGist.com is aware of reports of a deadly shooting that just took place in Nova Scotia, Canada killing at least 18 people, including a female Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) officer.
The tragic event took place on Saturday as a gunman dressed as a police officer began shooting randomly at different locations in Nova Scotia.
The gunman was spotted driving a car that was made to look like a police car. He was later killed in a confrontation with the police.
The Prime Minister of Canada, Justine Trudeau called the attack “a tragedy.”
Justin Trudeau said his government was closer to getting a ban on assault style firearms passed into law before the Coronavirus pandemic shut down the country’s parliament.
Speaking to the country on Monday, Trudeau said “Violence of any kind has no place in Canada. We stand with you and we grieve with you. And you can count on our government’s full support during this incredibly painful time.”
