Afrobeats superstar Davido has disclosed that he spends between $200,000 and $300,000 every month on his personal lifestyle, highlighting the financial demands that come with his celebrity status.
The award-winning singer made the revelation during a recent livestream with content creator Davrel, where he discussed his spending habits in Nigeria and the United States.
According to Davido, he spends considerably less while living in the U.S. because his household is limited to himself, his wife Chioma, and their children. However, he explained that his expenses increase significantly whenever he is in Nigeria due to his active social life and public engagements.
Responding to a question about his monthly expenditure, the singer estimated that he typically spends between $200,000 and $300,000, which translates to roughly ₦300 million to ₦400 million, depending on the exchange rate.
Davido clarified that the amount covers only his personal expenses and does not include costs related to his wife, household maintenance, luxury cars, or jewellery purchases.
The singer’s comments have sparked conversations on social media, with fans reacting to the enormous cost of maintaining the lifestyle of one of Africa’s biggest music stars.
