President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced that the Electoral Bill has been signed into law, assuring Nigerians that there will be no disenfranchisement in future elections.

Speaking on the issue of election result transmission, the President emphasized that Nigeria’s broadband and technical capacity must be carefully assessed before fully relying on real-time electronic transmission.

“Nigerians should question our broadband ability and how technical we will be tomorrow to answer the call of real-time transmission,” Tinubu stated.

He added that as long as citizens physically vote at polling units, the transmission of manual results would be considered where necessary.

The President’s comments come amid ongoing national conversations about election transparency, electronic transmission of results, and strengthening Nigeria’s electoral framework.
