Tragic Stabbing in Maiduguri Claims Life of Young Man

In the evening hours of Thursday, February 12, 2026, a fatal stabbing occurred in Maiduguri, the capital city of Borno State. The victim, identified as Abdulshaheed, a 29-year-old resident of the 777 Housing Estate, was attacked around 9:00 p.m. by a 27-year-old neighbor, Ali Idris Abatcha, who also lives in the same estate.

Security expert Zagazola Makama reported that the assailant inflicted multiple stab wounds to Abdulshaheed’s back during the assault.
