
The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on Friday paid a courtesy visit to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at Lagos House, Marina.
Governor Sanwo-Olu disclosed the visit in a statement, describing it as meaningful and reflective of mutual respect between leaders and institutions across state lines. He noted that the meeting provided an opportunity for warm conversation and engagement rooted in shared cultural values.
According to the governor, the visit underscored the importance of traditional institutions in Nigeria’s socio-political landscape and their continued relevance in fostering unity, dialogue, and cooperation.
“As the paramount ruler of Ibadanland and a respected custodian of our culture, this visit was meaningful,” Sanwo-Olu said, adding that he appreciated both the discussion and the spirit of respect it reflected.
The visit highlights ongoing cordial relations between Lagos State and traditional authorities in the South-West, reinforcing the role of cultural leadership in promoting harmony, mutual understanding, and regional collaboration.
