Drug trafficking remains a significant challenge in Nigeria, with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) reporting a 15% increase in drug-related arrests nationwide in 2025 compared to the previous year. Enugu State’s proactive law enforcement efforts contribute to the broader national strategy to curb the proliferation of narcotics and associated criminal activities.
