Three Suspects Detained Over Ritual Killing of FRSC Officer and Daughter in Osun State

In a recent development at the Osun State Magistrate’s Court in Osogbo, three individuals have been formally remanded in custody in connection with the brutal murder of a Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer, Lasisi Oluwamayokun, and her 10-year-old daughter, Adesewa. The suspects are to remain detained at the Ilesa Correctional Centre until February 6, 2026, pending further legal proceedings.

Details of the Court Proceedings

The accused-Gboyega Daramola (39), Sunday James (38), and Victor Fajemirokun (36)-were arraigned before Magistrate O. A. Daramola under case number MoS/M-53/2026. The Osun State Commissioner of Police initiated the court appearance by filing an ex parte motion requesting the suspects’ remand while awaiting directives from the Ministry of Justice.

Inspector Babawale Taiwo, the Investigating Police Officer, submitted an affidavit supporting the motion, emphasizing the necessity of a court order to detain the suspects in accordance with the Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Osun State (2018). The magistrate granted the request, ordering the suspects’ remand until the specified date.

Background of the Investigation

The investigation began after Victor Fajemirokun’s siblings, Oluwafemi and Mariam Fajemirokun, reported his disappearance on November 10, 2025. Victor had left Osogbo on November 2 for prayer activities at Ikoyi Prayer Mountain but failed to return. During the inquiry, it emerged that Lasisi Oluwamayokun and her daughter had also vanished on the same day.

Further police investigations uncovered chilling details: Victor Fajemirokun allegedly orchestrated the murder of the FRSC officer and her daughter for ritualistic purposes. The victims were reportedly killed and dismembered, with Victor identified as the mastermind behind the heinous crime.

Confession and Arrests

Victor Fajemirokun confessed to luring the victims to their deaths, implicating himself and two herbalists, Gboyega Daramola and Sunday James, who were also arrested. The suspects were publicly presented by the police at the Osun State Police Command headquarters in Osogbo.

Community Impact and Funeral

The tragic loss of the FRSC officer and her daughter has deeply affected the community. Their burial service took place on Friday at St. John’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Ita-Olookan, Osogbo, drawing mourners from across the region.
