The stabbing occurred at approximately 3:45 a.m. in Basa 1, Barangay Zapote. The victim, a Nigerian man believed to be between 30 and 40 years old, suffered multiple stab wounds to his lower left abdomen and left arm. Despite his injuries, he attempted to pursue the assailant.

A nearby resident, who was sorting recyclable materials at the time, reported overhearing a heated dispute outside. She recalled hearing a demand for money, followed by a physical altercation involving the victim and two men. The witness observed one of the suspects stab the victim on the right side of his body before fleeing the scene with an accomplice known only as “alias Lu Long,” who remains at large.
