Mr. Olajide Boladuro, the Director-General of the Oyo State Gaming and Lottery Board, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Governor Seyi Makinde as he marks his 58th birthday. Boladuro commended the governor for his steadfast commitment and forward-thinking leadership, which have significantly transformed Oyo State across multiple sectors.

Under Governor Makinde’s administration, Oyo State has witnessed remarkable infrastructural progress, including the rehabilitation and construction of more than 500 kilometers of roads. This extensive network upgrade has not only improved transportation but also stimulated local commerce and regional integration, fostering a more vibrant economy.
Revolutionizing Education and Healthcare Systems
Governor Makinde’s dedication to education is reflected in the recruitment of 5,000 teachers and 692 education officers, alongside the establishment of 60 state-of-the-art model schools. These initiatives aim to elevate the quality of education and accessibility for students across the state.
In the healthcare sector, the administration has bolstered medical services by hiring 533 healthcare professionals and acquiring new ambulances to enhance emergency response. Additionally, health insurance coverage has expanded dramatically, increasing from 45,000 to over 300,000 beneficiaries, ensuring more residents have access to affordable healthcare.
Empowering Youth and Boosting Agribusiness Investments
Boladuro highlighted Governor Makinde’s focus on youth empowerment through programs like the Youth Entrepreneurship in Agribusiness Project (YEAP), which has trained approximately 3,300 young people. This initiative has attracted over ₦35 billion in agribusiness investments, creating new opportunities and fostering economic diversification within the state.
Strengthening Security and Emergency Response Systems
Security improvements have been a cornerstone of Makinde’s leadership, with the establishment of the Oyo State Security Network Agency, popularly known as the Amotekun Corps. This community-based security outfit has enhanced safety across the state. Furthermore, the activation of the 615 Emergency Security Number has streamlined rapid response to security threats, contributing to a safer environment for residents and businesses alike.
