Reflecting on 2025, this year has been a whirlwind of spiritual deepening, self-discovery, and unexpected journeys. My relationship with God became the cornerstone of my life, providing clarity and strength as I navigated each decision and challenge that came my way.
Unconventional Beginnings: A Young Virtual Assistant’s Journey
One of the most surprising turns was stepping into the role of a virtual assistant for a marriage coach at just 17 years old. Many found it unusual, but this experience shaped my unique perspective and resilience. Despite still figuring out my own path, people began seeking my advice, which was both amusing and humbling. This role taught me the importance of dedication, consistency, and showing up even when the path isn’t clear.
Volunteering and Creative Expression: Finding My Voice
My passion for writing led me to volunteer with Trendupp Africa, where I could creatively express myself and contribute meaningfully to my community. Shortly after, I joined the GTWA conference as a volunteer, an initiative close to my heart. These experiences reinforced the idea that investing energy in causes you believe in often yields unexpected rewards and connections.
Balancing Academics and Life as a Microbiology Student
As a first-year microbiology student at Lagos State University, balancing academics, volunteering, and personal development was challenging yet rewarding. Turning 18 marked a significant milestone, ushering me into my second year of studies and the increased responsibilities that come with it. Throughout, my faith remained a steady guide.
Creative Milestones and Writing Challenges
This year also marked my most prolific creative period. I wrote more than ever before and honed my storytelling skills through a free creative writing course at CREST, where I learned scriptwriting and crafted my first original story. I pushed my limits with personal growth challenges-starting with a 12-day writing challenge in May, which I didn’t complete, and later a 30-day challenge in October that I proudly finished. These experiences underscored that with faith, perseverance, and courage, progress is always within reach.
Launching a Personal YouTube Channel
Quietly, I also launched a YouTube channel-a small, intimate space to document my journey, share insights, and reflect on life’s lessons. This platform has become a meaningful outlet for growth and connection, capturing every step of my evolving story.
