Internet fraudsters causing significant damage to Nigeria's economy
Dele Oyewale, the official spokesperson for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has highlighted the severe impact of internet scammers, commonly referred to as Yahoo Yahoo boys, on Nigeria’s economic stability.

Speaking to the press following a recent event, Oyewale emphasized the gravity of the situation, stating:

“Currently, the group known as internet fraudsters or Yahoo Yahoo boys is inflicting more damage on our nation’s economy than any other demographic. To change this narrative, it is crucial to understand that the fight against corruption must be comprehensive and inclusive.”
