Florida TikTok Star Girlalala Killed in Alleged Domestic Shooting as Rapper JT Helps With Funeral Costs

A young Florida woman widely known online as Girlalala has been shot and killed following what authorities describe as a violent argument with her boyfriend. The incident has sent shockwaves through South Florida’s transgender community and across social media.

Deadly Argument Inside a Vehicle

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to an emergency call on Friday night in Lauderdale Lakes. When officers arrived, they found Girlalala suffering from gunshot wounds while seated in the passenger seat of a vehicle.

She was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment but later died from her injuries.

Boyfriend Arrested at the Scene

Police say Girlalala’s longtime boyfriend, Shanoyd Whyte Jr., was taken into custody at the scene. Investigators allege the couple had been arguing inside the car when the dispute escalated into gun violence.

A firearm was recovered from the vehicle, and Whyte has been charged with first-degree murder. Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.

Girlalala was a well-known and loved figure within South Florida’s transgender community. She had also built a loyal following on TikTok, where she frequently shared videos of herself rapping along to music.

One of her favourite artists was JT, one-half of the rap duo City Girls, whose songs regularly featured in her posts.

Following the news of Girlalala’s death, fans and loved ones organised a GoFundMe campaign to help cover funeral expenses.

Rapper JT has now donated $5,000 to the fundraiser, offering support to Girlalala’s family during the difficult time.

Tributes have continued to pour in online, with many remembering Girlalala for her confidence, creativity and presence on social media. Her death has also reignited conversations around domestic violence and safety within intimate relationships.
